NOTICE: Due to the ongoing global pandemic,

we are suspending all social events and membership requests for 2020.

Who are we,
and what do we do?

The NZ Society of Thailand is a diverse bunch of fun-loving Kiwis who like to provide social, sporting and cultural events and information that give you the opportunity to enjoy everything special about NZ in Thailand.  The NZ Society was established in 1976 and is still going strong. We have an excellent working relationship with the NZ Embassy office based in Bangkok, the NZ Thai Chamber of Commerce and H.E New Zealand Ambassador to Thailand is our Patron.  Throughout the year, our events include a Waitangi Day celebration, NZ Movie nights, supporting the All Blacks, ANZAC Remembrance BBQ, a pub-crawl and a family Christmas party. We often co-host events with the NZ Thai Chamber of Commerce, which includes the annual, prestigious NZ Ball – the highlight of the Bangkok Social Calendar.  We are always open to consider new events, so please contact us with your ideas.

MEMBERSHIP

Come and join us

Membership is open to all New Zealanders living in Thailand and anyone who has a close connection to New Zealand. Membership will not only enable you to touch base with like-minded people or make new Kiwi friends but it gives you the chance to assist the Committee with the development of our events. Joining will ensure you are kept up to date with all of our event dates as well as news and other happenings in Thailand. It will also give you access to some great offers at participating restaurants, retailers as well as selected NZS events. We regularly partner with other organisations to watch the All Blacks games, celebrate Waitangi Day, remember ANZAC Day, enjoy Kiwi movies, a crazy pub crawl and what we're most famous for is the annual NZ Ball. It's legendary so don't miss out. Throughout its existence, the New Zealand Society of Thailand has always been an entirely volunteer-run non-profit organisation, with all funds raised applied to subsidise events and activities for the NZ community in Thailand and where possible, donated to charities. Joining couldn't be easier, so join the team and enjoy some of the best Kiwi events in Thailand.

Events

Each year we aim to provide our members with our 4 staple events as well as other events, depending on the availability of the committee. We strive to facilitate an ANZAC gathering, Quiz Nights, Christmas BBQ, Waitangi get-together and of course, the New Zealand Ball. In between these, we try to fit other events in where there is sufficient funds and resources to do so.
